Our Focus

Our Focus

Using movement and play to create more confident, happier and resilient kids.

5 – 13yrs

Age varies by program but most programs typically fall within this range.

All Kids

We welcome all kids who are ready (or willing) to run, jump, throw, roll, laugh and more.

Physical Literacy

is Critical

Fundamental motor skills drive a child’s interest and ability to participate in activity. Being active for a lifetime is important for children and adults alike! Developing that motivation from childhood provides a solid foundation – that motivation is harder to come by as we age. Fostering your child’s relationship with activity is one of the greatest gifts you can offer them.

Multi-Sport Fun For Balanced Development

Finding creative ways to introduce activity into your child’s day was not something a parent needed to think about years ago. A simple, “Go outside and play” was all it took. And with that prompt, a child would not only find other kids outside but they would likely meet some type of activity to join: skipping, road hockey, tennis, soccer, football, basketball, 500-up, tag, hide-and-seek…you name it, you’d find it. Access to varying activities allowed kids to develop physically in a balanced way. Physical competency was the norm. It was natural to run, jump, climb, skip, balance, pull, etc. to participate in whatever the activity. Exposure to various sports and activities can help drive strength and conditioning in a balanced way. We must work towards getting our kids back to having fun through physical activity. Founder & Coach

Founder, Marcus Thomas

Marcus Thomas

Founder, Verote Inc.

Verote camp is about making a space available for kids to be kids. Most of our children spend the school year in highly structured activities. They have had to tune into the needs of the teacher, other students, their coaches, their school bus driver, etc. Verote wants to give children a chance to listen to THEIR OWN voice, to express their own desires, and to follow their own drive. Yes, we will have some activities that are pre-planned, such as team games, and soccer skills, that are meant as a way to build connection between the kids. Our main objective though, is to allow them time and space to play and to be creative with no performance expectations, just simply for the pleasure of whatever it is they choose to engage in. We believe in giving respect and getting respect, in speaking and treating with kindness, and above all, having fun!

1

Play

Unstructured play allows a child to nurture, grow and connect to their identity.

2

Creativity

Fostering creativity builds confidence, resilience and self-determination.

3

Fitness

Strength and conditioning drive the confidence and motivation to step from the sidelines, and into play.
